The Ford Orion ‘E’ began its journey at Halewood as 1.6i Orion models. From there, they were shipped in batches to Tickford’s site in Bedworth for a significant interior transformation. Initially, the Orion ‘E’ was available in two colors: Raven, a blue-black metallic, and Mercury Grey. Later, a limited number were also produced in Diamond White.

Each car was luxuriously trimmed in soft Shadow Grey leather, featuring specially developed front sports seats from the Escort XR3i. The standard steering wheel received a leather rim, while the gear lever knob and gaiter were also leather-clad. A fillet of American Cherry wood veneer adorned the fascia ahead of the front passenger seat, with matching wood veneer cappings on each door trim panel, creating a ‘mini limousine’ effect.
