Jaguar XJS-C

The Jaguar XJS-C was a creation of Tickford, taking on the project for Jaguar, who lacked the available resources.  Tickford is believed to have completed up to 550 vehicles before the project was handed back to Jaguar due to the higher-than-expected demand than Tickford could accommodate, who later developed the full convertible model. Jaguar later developed the full-convertible model.

All Tickford-modified vehicles were equipped with 3.6-litre engines, with all but 5 featuring manual gearboxes.  Tickford completed these vehicles in late 1983., to early 1984.  The design included two Targa panels above the seats, held in place by a T-Bar, like the Triumph Stag, along with a small rear hood to complete the conversion.

Most of these models had two seats with two lockers behind them.  Jaguar later added a 5.3-litre version.  The Tickford-converted XJS-C’s are a testament to the collaboration between Tickford and Jaguar, blending engineering prowess with the elegance and performance Jaguar is known for.
