Tickford Rail Limited

Between 1989 and 1997, Tickford undertook interior and general refurbishment work on London Underground 1967 tube stock at Rosyth Royal Dockward Scotland, which ran on the Victoria line.  This was an upgrade for safety and modernisation following the 1987 Kings Cross fire.    

 

Tickford was also involved in styling and interior refurbishment proposals for British Rail Class 156 diesel multiple unit (unit nunber 156450 owned by Angel Trains in 1995.  

 

Between 1990 – 1991, the Nuneaton-based carriage refurbishment division Tickford Rail was sold to Babcock International.
