F3000
During 1989, 1990, 1991, and 1992 Tickford carried out engine preparation on the F3000 Cosworth DFV engines for a number of Teams. One of the drivers in 1990 was none other than 1996 F1 Champion Damon Hill.
In Damon’s Autobiography “Watching the Wheels” Damon mentions his car being powered by the unique Tickford-tuned Cosworth, and he also says it was very quick everywhere and he was able to run at the front in nearly every race. Even though the car kept stopping when he was leading! The main teams were Middlebridge Racing based in Tilbrook Milton Keynes and Eddie Jordan Racing based at Silverstone.
